Discover our Fixin Premier Cru Clos de la Perrière Blanc, a unique wine produced from a rare 0.5 hectare plot.
Domaine Joliet, located in Fixin in the northern Côte de Nuits, has historically specialized in crafting Pinot Noir wines. The Clos de la Perrière vineyard spans 5 hectares, comprising 4.5 hectares of Fixin Premier Cru Red (Pinot Noir) and 0.5 hectares of Fixin Premier Cru White (Chardonnay).
In its early years, Maison Joliet naturally focused on Premier Cru Reds. Today, it seeks to expand its portfolio by exploring Premier Cru Whites. The Fixin Premier Cru Clos de la Perrière Blanc is the only Premier Cru White produced by both Domaine and Maison Joliet—a rarity born from just 0.5 hectares on the slopes of Fixin. It is one of the few Premier Cru Chardonnays from this region.
Burgundy is known for producing wines primarily from single grape varieties. For Villages (with a few exceptions), Premier Crus, and Grand Crus, Chardonnay is used for whites, while Pinot Noir is used for reds.
